LBH WCC Bali Was visited by Quantic School of Business and Technology from America

Bali Women Crisis Centre BWCC is a forum for women in an environment who are worried about conditions of violence against women victims of violence as well as economic empowerment with UMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah) training and fighting for their rights. But in its development, it also concerns the position of Balinese women towards culture and customs.

This was stated by Ni Nengah Budawati, Director of the Bali Women Crisis Center (BWCC) at the Bali WCC stronghold, Banjar Kekeran, Tabanan, Bali, Saturday, May 13, 2023..

According to her, this has invited many parties who are concerned about this problem, including the presence and visit of the Quantic School of Business and Technology based in the United States with participants namely Putu Sanjaya Setiawan from Singapore and Chou, Pei-Ting Sarah from Taiwan.

The discussion discussed the Balinese customary law system, the position of Balinese women in the eyes of customary law and government law, and good practices regarding the roles of women and men equally in the local area.

In addition, participants were also invited to gain experience in making traditional snacks with simple ingredients of cassava, sugar and coconut in a tourist village area initiated by BWCC and womens groups and the Banjar Kekeran community.

The activity was guided by I Putu Wiraguna Daniswara from Five Pillars Experience (a social enterprise in the field of travel business that focuses on responsible tourism development and impact.

During this visit, discussions were also held with Ni Nengah Budawati, Director of the Bali Women Crisis Center (BWCC), the paralegal community, and womens groups assisted by BWCC.

"They just visited, because they had never been to Kubu Bali WCC, they wanted to discuss and meet paralegal mothers/LBH Bali WCC community," said this mother of three daughters.

Apart from the discussion, they also learned how to process Balinese snacks from cassava and sugar into sweet potato pulung, this activity was guided by Gadis, a paralegal who is also a student at Udayana University.

“As a paralegal and also usually as a creative economy training instructor at LBH Bali WCC and Kubu Bali WCC. One of them is training in flower arrangement, painting on cloth or t-shirts," said Gadis.
